Human Rights Policy

Purpose


Kerusso’s commitment to human rights is grounded first in our belief that every person is created in the image of God and is therefore worthy of dignity, respect, fairness, and protection. This belief informs how we seek to treat our employees, suppliers, workers throughout our supply chain, customers, and communities.


Kerusso Activewear, Inc. is committed to upholding the fundamental human rights of all individuals involved in our operations, supply chain, and communities. We recognize our responsibility to uphold human rights in our own operations and in our business relationships, including our supply chain. This policy reflects our commitment to conduct business in an ethical, responsible, and lawful manner, consistent with the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct, applicable labor and employment laws, and internationally recognized human rights principles.

Commitments


Kerusso is committed to:

  • Treating all people with dignity, fairness, and respect, consistent with our belief that every person is created in the image of God.
  • Prohibiting child labor, forced labor, bonded labor, prison labor where prohibited by law, and human trafficking.
  • Protecting legally employed young workers in accordance with applicable laws and responsible labor standards.
  • Providing a workplace free from discrimination, harassment, abuse, violence, intimidation, and retaliation.
  • Respecting workers’ rights to freedom of association and collective bargaining, in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Supporting fair wages and benefits in compliance with legal requirements and applicable industry standards.
  • Promoting working hours that comply with applicable laws and responsible labor practices.
  • Providing safe, healthy, and respectful working conditions and taking reasonable steps to prevent work-related injury and illness.
  • Respecting the rights of vulnerable groups, including temporary workers, migrant workers, women, young workers, and other at-risk individuals.
  • Supporting lawful, transparent, and responsible employment relationships and prohibiting abusive or exploitative employment practices.
  • Conducting business honestly and ethically, including prohibiting bribery, corruption, falsified records, and other unlawful business practices.
  • Complying with applicable environmental laws and supporting responsible environmental practices in our operations and supply chain.

Scope


This policy applies to all Kerusso employees, suppliers, subcontractors, and business partners, and communicates our human rights expectations to relevant stakeholders. This policy is communicated to employees and relevant business partners and is publicly available on our website. We expect all business partners and relevant stakeholders to operate in a manner consistent with the principles of this policy.


Due Diligence and Implementation


We are committed to identifying, assessing, preventing, mitigating, and addressing actual or potential adverse human rights impacts connected to our business. We will work to integrate human rights considerations into relevant company policies, procedures, and decision-making processes. Where concerns are identified, we will seek to take appropriate corrective action and support remediation where needed.


Grievance Mechanisms


Kerusso provides safe and confidential grievance channels for employees, workers in the supply chain, and other stakeholders to raise concerns without fear of retaliation. Reports may be submitted to HR@kerusso.com or the Confidential Hotline 870-480-4556. We are committed to reviewing concerns in good faith, taking appropriate action where issues are identified, and supporting remediation where we have caused or contributed to adverse impacts.


Governance and Review


Kerusso is committed to continuous improvement in the protection and advancement of human rights throughout our operations and business relationships. Responsibility for implementation of this policy rests with the Human Resources Department, in coordination with relevant business functions. This Human Rights Policy is reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect legal, operational, and stakeholder changes. It is approved by senior leadership and forms a key part of our sustainability and ethical sourcing strategy.
