Christian pens have come a long way since the first writing utensils were created.

Early texts tell us that the first pens, made in India, used bird feathers or bamboo sticks. This kind of pen was used roughly around 500 BC, as ancient Egyptians developed writing on papyrus scrolls. The next stage in the evolution of the pen was the quill, which authored the Dead Sea Scrolls at Qumran and was used around 100 BC.
