Kerusso Associate Becomes American Citizen
BERRYVILLE, AR – Kerusso, the #1 source for Christian T-shirts, jewelry and gifts, both congratulated and celebrated the recent US citizenship of Kerusso employee Virginia Navaluna Abogado Brown. Mrs. Brown has been living in Berryville, Arkansas since her arrival in the United States in 2004. She has been employed by Kerusso since 2006 and recently received her “Five Years of Service” award. Virginia’s husband, Ralph Brown, a retired heavy equipment operator and welder, accompanied her to the swearing in on Friday, November 4 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Upon arriving for her first day back at work as an American Citizen, her fellow Kerusso employees helped her celebrate by presenting Virginia with an American Flag, followed by a luncheon with traditional American foods including hot dogs, baked beans and apple pie. “Virginia is a strong Christian woman” stated Kerusso Founder/CEO, Vic Kennett. “She also epitomizes the strong work ethic that has helped make this company great.” Steve DeMent, Kerusso VP Supply Chain, presented Mrs. Brown with the American Flag during a congratulatory ceremony noting “We are so proud of our Virginia taking the time to learn our country’s history and following the proper procedures to become an American Citizen. I am not certain you could find another person expressing as much love and joy as Virginia did when she received word that she passed her exam and would now become an US citizen.” Upon being presented the US flag, Virginia led employees in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. “It has been a joy working with Virginia and I wish I had more employees like her” noted Supervisor, Lynn Futrell. “She always has a smile and a kind word for people.” As for Virginia, she said “I am so happy” while she proudly took pictures of the festivities and texted them to her husband Ralph. “God has blessed me.”
